We know how strong the Notre Dame football schedule is. It is bolstered by some of the best players in the country.

One of the benefits of a strong schedule for Notre Dame football fans is that you get to see some great teams and players throughout the season. In 2019, the Irish face three teams who are serious contenders to win their respective Power 5 conferences. Those teams are lead by players whom the wise guys in Vegas deem Heisman Trophy frontrunners.

Here are the five players on the 2019 Notre Dame football schedule who currently have the best odds to win the Heisman Trophy.

K.J. Costello, Quarterback, Stanford (+3000)

Costello is coming off a 2018 campaign where he threw for 3,540 yards and 29 touchdowns. He’ll keep the Cardinal in the mix for the Pac-12 title all season.

Shea Patterson, Quarterback, Michigan (+2000)

Patterson has been touted as the best quarterback talent Jim Harbaugh has had during his tenure in Ann Arbor. That said, there are rumblings that he may split time with Dylan McCaffrey. If that’s the case, his Heisman odds will obviously take a hit.

AJ Dillon, Running Back, Boston College (+2000)

Dillon has been one of the most dominant running backs in the country since he stepped on campus at Chestnut Hill. He has piled up 2,697 yards and 24 touchdowns through his sophomore season.

D’Andre Swift, Running Back, Georgia (+950)

Swift ran for 1,049 yards and ten touchdowns last season while splitting carries with Elijah Holyfield. He could flirt with the 2000-yard mark as Georgia’s feature back in 2019.

Jake Fromm, Quarterback, Georgia (+850)

Fromm has 54 touchdown passes to just 13 interceptions in two years as a starter. Few passers in the country are as efficient as he is. He’ll be the best quarterback the Irish will face all season, unless they meet Trevor Lawrence in the College Football Playoff again.
