Redskins Sign Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie – Redskins.com

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have signed cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

Rodgers-Cromartie (6-2, 203) is an eleven-year NFL veteran who entered the league as the No. 16 overall pick by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2008 NFL Draft. He has appeared in 160 career regular season games with 121 starts.

Rodgers-Cromartie has appeared in at least 15 games in nine of his eleven NFL seasons. He has recorded 30 career interceptions for 535 yards in regular-season play to complement 451 tackles (394 solo), 146 passes defensed, 2.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

In postseason play, he has started all ten games in which he has appeared and has registered three interceptions for 13 yards, 35 tackles (34 solo), and 15 passes defensed.

For the 2018 campaign, he registered 8 tackles (8 solo), in seven games played for the Oakland Raiders.

In 2017, Rodgers-Cromartie appeared in 15 games starting in seven for the New York Giants. He registered 48 tackles (31 solo), one pass defensed, 0.5 sacks, and his four tackles for loss was a career high.

At the end of the 2015 season, Rodgers-Cromartie set a career high with 58 tackles (52 solo), while recording three interceptions that culminated in his second Pro-Bowl selection (2009).

Rodgers-Cromartie played collegiately at Tennessee State and was named an FCS All-American selection in 2007 as a senior.

Rodgers-Cromartie, 32, attended Lakewood Ranch H.S. in Bradenton, Fla. He was born April 7, 1986.
